This will help you to decide on tube placement when connecting the rest of your station to the Moonbay.Īs a general rule, just remember this: When placing your first compartment, the direction you face during placement determines the ‘front’ and ‘rear’ of the base, how ladders get placed, and the direction your Seamoth faces when docking, as well as the side you exit your Seamoth on once docked. Your character will also always exit to the left after docking. The Seamoth will always dock facing left when looking directly in the same direction as when the Moonpool was placed (I.E.

Hopefully one day the game will let us rotate those ladders. For this reason, most of my base builds have the Moonpool orientation seen above, otherwise I have to deal with awkwardly placed ladders that seem to get in the way.

Saldy, this would also change the orientation of the Ladders. If I wanted the Moonpool to align with the smaller side on the front of the small base, then I’d have to change my own orientation when laying down the initial compartment. Once placed, it’s easier to see the orientation. Note that it will always appear perpendicular to me along the long side and if attaching to an existing compartment, there is no way to rotate it. The ladder rule still applies which means ladders will always align perpendicular to the long side of the Moonpool. This means that you can’t rotate the Moonpool by repositioning yourself unless it’s the first item you place. Once the first compartment is placed, the Moonpool will always align along it’s long side (The side with two connections) compared to the first compartment placed. Ladders placed in the multipurpose room will always align with the ladder along the outer circumferance of the compartment to give you as much foot room as possible. The Fabricator requires Energy to work make sure there are enough generators connected to the power grid to get the Fabricator running.Note that this only effects ladders placed in the connector compartments such as the I, L, T, and X. Fiber Mesh is found under the "Basic Materials" tab. Take them to the Fabricator in Lifepod 5. For each Fiber Mesh, players will need 2 Creepvine samples. Players need to collect samples of the Creepvine with their basic knife.

#SUBNAUTICA MOONPOOL HOW TO#
RELATED: Subnautica: How to Find Cave Sulfurįiber Mesh is made from samples of Creepvine in Subnautica. Players can grab the needed materials to make Fiber Mesh while out and about exploring, like when they have to grab the three mobile vehicle Bay fragments in Subnautica. Thankfully, this material is pretty easy to get a hold of. This basic material is extremely important to get started, needed to make things like the Radiation Suit and Synthetic Fibers. One of the most basic materials needed to get started in Subnautica is Fiber Mesh.įiber Mesh is used in several early-game equipment recipes in Subnautica as well as First Aid Kits. With the addition of the new Subnautica sequel Below Zero, some new players may be swimming to the old one. Subnautica is a deep-sea adventure game filled with underwater dangers.
